BlogPress

Finally added BlogPress to my iPhone, although not sure how great it is. I'm sure there are far better blogging apps available, hopefully free ones.

Shopify iPhone App

I've been using Shopify iPhone app since I moved my fine art photography website over to their shopping cart platform. The app is very cool! it's still early days, I first got the app at Version 1.0.0 which had a few bugs, 3 quick updates later version 1.0.3 seems very good indeed.

You can check your sales statistics, view products, orders and customers data.

Features:
  • Push Notifications for New Orders
  • Multiple Storefronts
  • Complete Order, Product and Customer Data
  • Fulfill Orders and Capture Payments
I used the app while on holiday, I was able to see new orders coming in, capture the full amounts and upon my return fulfill my print orders. You can view detailed information on each order, so I could very quickly see which images I'd hand print & sign.

Photography website REFRESH

I've recently moved my photography website over to the Shopify platform. It's proving very good!!! Switching to any new CMS requires a little patience and time to familiarise with, however, within 1 week I had a new design, coded, templates edited, SEO improved and content uploaded (over 500 items, about 1,500 images).

If you're looking for a simple shopping cart have a look at my web design website, get in touch and I could help design and produce your Shopify website.

Leica M lens codes

I've just got my Leica Summicron 1:2/50mm lens updated to work with 6bit coding on M8.2

It's simple to do, just have a look at the following links which show required coding and how to make lens 6 bit coding for Leica M8 and Leica M8.2

http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m8-forum/10494-proof-concept-regarding-self-coding-lenses.html

http://www.whimster-photography.com/leica_m_lens_codes/index.html

Basically draw lines using black dry safe permanent pen, like you use to write on CDs DVDs. Just make sure it's dried (I applied a piece of paper to soak up any excess ink).

Now my lens automatically adds info to the EXIF. Sweet!

Leica M8.2 with 50mm lens

Some very quick test shots with my new (old) Leica M8.2 with Summicron-M 1:2/50mm lens. I'll be playing around with this camera over the coming weeks. First time using a Leica rangefinder camera. Quality looks spot on so far!!!
